On Monday morning, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Amos P. Godby Head Coach, Ronnie Cottrell, who confirmed Hollifield's commitment to Missouri.
"(Brandon Hollifield) is definitely committed to Missouri," said Coach Cottrell. "I talked to Brandon today, and after talking to his mom, he is definitely committed to the University of Missouri."
"He will sign with Missouri on Thursday morning," continued Coach Cottrell. "He's been playing basketball in the state tournament, so he's going to sign (with Missouri) on Thursday morning at our school. He's trying to stay focused on helping his basketball team, so he's going to sign with Missouri on Thursday."
"I think Coach Pinkel and Coach Henson have done a really nice job," said Coach Cottrell. "(Hollifield) really has a lot of respect for them."
Hollifield had been committed to Miami (FL) since last summer, but he de-committed from the Hurricanes on Signing Day. Hollifield is an outstanding athlete who is relatively new to football.
