Tigers Land Commitment From Abeln

The Missouri Tigers received a quick response to an offer given out just last night from at St. Louis offensive lineman with close ties and family history to the Mizzou athletic program as they pick up his commitment less the 24 hours later.

ShowMeMizzou.com has had a busy couple of weekes reporting on SLUH 2013 OG Alec Abeln 6'4" 270lbs. Just yesterday he made an unoffical visit to Missouri and picked up a verbal offer vrom the Tigers. Well, it took less then 24 hours for the standout lineman to pull the trigger to become a Mizzou Tigers as Abeln committed to Missouri to play football this evening.

"I have committed to Missouri," said Abeln informing ShowMeMizzou.com of his decision. "I just got off the phone with Coach Henson. I spoke to him and Coach Ford and they were pumped about my decision."

Ablen told me that today was the longest day of his life as he thought about the Missouri offer and what he wanted to do.

"Today went on forever. All I could think about all day was Missouri and my offer and what I wanted to do. I talked things over with Coach Kornfeld and I realized that there is no place in the world I would rather be and play football they Mizzou. I am so happy right now words cannot explain it," said an excited Ablen.

Now the recruited becomes the recruiter. Alec told me that he hopes to bring some fellow Missouri targets with him to Columbia.

"Zach Hannon commented on my Facebook offering congrats about my decision, and I told him that he needs to come there with me. I will probably be contacting Zach and Harneet Gill in the next couple of days to try and get them to join me and commit to Mizzou."

Alec Abeln becomes Missouri's 4th known commitment for the class of 2013.
