Texas Defensive Tackle Planning Mizzou Visit

The Missouri Tigers appear to have made the short list of one of the most highly regarded and coveted defensive line prospect coming from the Lone State State in the class of 2013. He tells us about where Missouri fits in with his recruitment.

 

 

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2013 DT prospect Christian Lacouture  6'6"  260  4.8  College Station (TX) A&M Consolodated, who reports having a Missouri offer, and has the Tigers on a short list.

"I really like Missouri,"  explained Lacouture, who also reports offers from Baylor, LSU, Michigan, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and Utah, in addition to Missouri.   "I've talked to the defensive line coach there, Coach Kuligowski, and to Coach Henson.  I really like what they're doing there."

Lacouture is originally from Boston, where his family is well-known in hockey circles.  

He has been doing some recent testing, and he reported a 28" vertical jump, to go along with a 4.2 shuttle time, and personal bests in the weight room of 355 pounds in the bench press, 460-pound squat, and 280-pound power clean.

Lacouture is planning an unofficial visit to Missouri during March.  He said that he has developed a good rapport with the Missouri staff, including Coaches Henson, Kuligowski, and Steckel.

"I'm going to take a visit to Missouri,"    said Lacouture, who said that he has narrowed his list of schools to include Texas A&M, LSU, Michigan, and Missouri, "I'm really looking forward to it.   I've talked to Coach Henson since my sophomore year.  As time has progressed, I've been building a relationship with Coach Kul, who would be my position coach."

"I really like Coach Kul,"   continued Lacouture.   "He puts guys in the NFL.  One thing I really like about him, is he's been there.  He's going into his twelfth year there with Coach Pinkel."

Lacouture is a good student who plans to graduate from high school next December, and begin college in January.
