Tight End Discusses Missouri Offer

The Missouri Tigers look like they would love to add a talented Tight End prospect or two to their 2013 recruiting class. ShowMeMizzou.com talks to one of their targets to find out where the Tigers may be in the race for his commitment.

The Missouri Tigers have extended a number of offers to receiver prospects for their 2013 signing class, including TE prospect Christian Morgan  6'5"  260  Plano (TX) Prestonwood Christian Academy.  Recently, Morgan talked about the Missouri offer, and updated us on his recruitment.

"Missouri offered me about a month and a half ago,"  explained Morgan.

Morgan said that Coach Walker has talked to him about playing a more traditional role as a tight end at Missouri.  He cited his versatility as a major asset.

"I see myself as kind of a more in-line, pro-style tight end,"  said Morgan.

Morgan reported a 4.75 forty-yard dash, and a 32" vertical jump.  He said that he played his junior year at about 245 pounds, and that he's added weight since last season.

Morgan reported offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Baylor, California, Iowa State, Miami, Mississippi, SMU, Texas Tech, Tulsa, Vanderbilt, and Washington, in addition to Missouri.

"I'd say that Arkansas and Baylor are probably like my top two,"  said Morgan.

Morgan is on schedule to graduate in December, and enroll early.  He's planning to make a decision pretty early, as well.

Morgan has family in Kansas City and at the Lake of the Ozarks.  He's not sure when he'll be visiting Missouri.
