ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Boyd's high school coach Royce Boehm, and he talked about Boyd's recruitment.
According to Coach Boehm, Boyd is receiving interest from just about every major college program. Several schools have already offered Boyd, including Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, and Purdue, among others, including Missouri.
"Missouri is one of the schools on his list," explained Coach Boehm, talking about Boyd. "I don't think he's even mentioned a top list of schools."
"Right now, I think Jamone is pretty much overwhelmed by the whole process," said Coach Boehm.
Coach Boehm indicated that Boyd is being recruited by most schools to play defensive end in college. But Coach Boehm is playing Boyd on the inside.
ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Boyd himself, and he verified his interest in Missouri, as well as all of the other schools that have offered him. He indicated that he expects to receive more offers. But, he's not in a hurry to narrow things down.
"I'm just kind of letting it flow right now," explained Boyd. "I'm not going to think about that until after this next season. That's when I'm going to start thinking about it."
Boyd has taken unofficial visits to Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri.
"I'm going to wait until National Signing Day to make my decision," explained Boyd, who said that proximity to his home and family are likely to be important factors in his decision.
ShowMeMizzou.com will continue to follow the defensive lineman's recruitment.
