Heavily Recruited TE Honored By Mizzou Offer

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with one of the top Tight End prospects in the country, who just happens to have a Missouri Tiger offer among the many he has received so far, to find out if Mizzou could be in his plans regarding recruiting in the future.

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2013 TE prospect Hunter Henry  6'6"  235  4.8  Little Rock (AR) Pulaski, who talked about his Missouri offer, and updated us on his recruitment.

"It's definitely an honor (to have a Missouri offer),"   said Henry.   "I'm blessed to have such a great school wanting me to come there to play football."

Henry reports scholarship offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Purdue, Stanford, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech, in addition to Missouri, among others.

Henry has already taken unofficial visits to Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Miami, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.

"I've visited a lot of places,"  said Henry.  "Basketball kind of held me back from taking more visits, but I've been a little bit of everywhere.   I still have a lot more (visits) to come."

Henry talked about a potential Missouri visit.

"Right now, (a Missouri visit) would probably have to be this summer,"  explained Henry.  "But, I'm definitely going to look into (taking a visit to Missouri)."

Henry has yet to narrow things down, citing late spring or early summer as a projected time-table for narrowing things down.  He said that he's not sure when he'll make a decision, but he said that he's leaning towards an earlier decision.

"I have no idea right now,"   explained Henry.  "It might be this summer, or it might be like before my senior season.  I'm definitely not going to wait like a long time, and have it drawn out.  I don't really want to do that.  But, you never know, I might have to, maybe.  I don't know.  We'll see."

Henry sees himself as a versatile player who can play in the slot, or who can line up with his hand on the ground.

We'll have more on Hunter Henry's recruitment as time goes along.
