Georgia Defender Talks Mizzou Offer

The Missouri Tigers will be entering the SEC conference this year, and along with that move that will find them competing on the field, they are also turning their recruiting efforts towards prospect in the SEC territory.

In the never-ending search for quality corners, the Missouri Tigers have ventured into the heart of SEC territory to extend a scholarship offer to 2013 CB prospect Ali Groves  5'11"  177  4.41  Stone Mountain (GA) Stephenson.    Groves is a natural talent, and already has an impressive offer list. spoke to Groves, and he talked about his Missouri offer, and he updated us on his recruitment. 

"One of the main things about Missouri is that they're in the SEC,"   said Groves.  "I think Missouri will do well there this year."

Groves reported an offer list that includes Florida, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest, in addition to Missouri.

"Playing corner in SEC would be great fun,"  said Groves.  "And, it would be competitive at the same time."

Groves reports a 32.5" vertical jump, and a personal best of 4.28 seconds in the shuttle.   He also reports a 3.8 GPA.

"Academics are important to my family,"  explained Groves.

Groves is a physical, hard-hitting safety, who has the speed and athleticism to play the corner.   He's also played some at quarterback. 

"I actually play safety, but some schools are recruiting me as a corner or athlete,"   explained Groves.  

Groves said that he's planning to visit Missouri sometime this spring.
