The Missouri Tigers are looking to complete their roster heading into the 2012-2013 season. Coach Frank Haith and his staff have one scholarship available, and the Tigers remain in the mix for 2012 SF Devonta Pollard 6'7" 200 DeKalb (MS) Kemper County.
After Pollard returned to Mississippi from his recent visit to Georgetown, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Pollard's Kemper County High School coach, Kelvin Young. Coach Young gave us some insight regarding Pollard's pending decision.
Coach Young said that Pollard is considering Alabama, Georgetown, Missouri, and Texas, and that the young man is expected to make his decision by the end of next week. Coach Young said that an announcement and signing ceremony at the high school "is possible" next week.
"I think next week we'll know something," explained Coach Young.
Coach Young made it sound like Pollard's mother, Jessie, is very much involved in her son's decision.
"That's going to be a tough decision for them," explained Coach Young, referring to Pollard's decision. "Because all of the schools are great!"
Coach Young went on the say that he thinks Pollard is finished with his visits.
"I think that's it," said Coach Young, referring to the possibility of additional visits for Pollard.
