2013 Hoops Recruit Talks Tiger Offer

One of the top 2013 backcourt prospects on the Missouri Tigers target board has confirmed to ShowMeMizzou.com that Missouri has offered him a scholarship, and that he has reciprocal interest in the Tigers.

Recently, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2013 PG prospect Jaylen Brantley  5'9"  150  Springfield (MA) Wilbraham & Monson Academy.  He confirmed that Missouri has offered him a scholarship, and that he has reciprocal interest in the Tigers.

Brantley also plays with BABC, and was a teammate of incoming Missouri freshman, Dominique Bull.  Phil Pressey and Alex Oriakhi also played for BABC during their AAU days.

Brantley indicated that he's pretty familiar with Missouri, and that he has watched many of the Tigers games.

Brantley reports offers from Syracuse, Georgetown, Florida, Virginia, Georgia, Rutgers, Northeastern, Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, Richmond, Rhode Island, UMass, Iowa State, and Georgia Tech, in addition to Missouri.

Thus far, Brantley has visited Georgetown and UConn.

Brantley plans to visit Missouri "sometime this summer".  He talked about his interest in Missouri.

"I think Missouri is a great program,"  said Brantley.   "Coach Haith is great!  Obviously, they have great players.   They're winners!   It's really a great school."

Brantley said that he's "watched Missouri a lot", and that he's been interested in Missouri for a while.

Brantley is an athletic point guard who has drawn comparisons to Phil Pressey and UConn sophomore Shabazz Napier.

Brantley indicated that he'll narrow things down "at the end of the summer".
