The Missouri Tigers have been evaluating a number of basketball players, and are working on assembling their 2013 recruiting class. One 2013 PG prospect, Kendal Harris 6'3" 195 Richardson (TX) Berkner, who reports having a Missouri offer, took time recently to visit with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he updated us on his recruitment.
Harris reports scholarship offers from Arkansas, Gonzaga, Kansas State, Marquette, North Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Tulane, Virginia, and Washington State, in addition to Missouri.
He's already visited North Texas, as well as Texas A&M and Texas Tech.
Harris is playing AAU ball this year for Urban DFW Elite, after playing last year for the Dallas Mustangs. He's well-acquainted with 2013 Missouri commit, Zach Coleman, and described the opportunity to play with Coleman in college as a "plus".
Harris described himself as a scoring point guard who enjoys passing the ball to his teammates.
Harris is planning to visit Missouri "sometime early this summer".
He identified his relationship with the coach as an important criteria for him in choosing a school. On that note, Harris mentioned that he has a good relationship with Coach Haith. He also noted that Coach Haith was recently named the Coach of the Year.
"Coach Haith is a good coach," said Harris, who's brother Terrel played at Oklahoma State, and is now a teammate of Mike Miller with the Miami Heat.
Harris doesn't plan to sign during the early signing period. He said that he would like to narrow things down by the beginning of the school year, and that he would like to make a final decision early next season.
