Georgia QB Discusses Missouri Offer

In recent days, the Missouri Tigers have been out on the recruiting trail. A tlented QB from the state of Georgia has drawn their attention enough for them to extend an offer to him. We have his thoughts on Mizzou and his recruitment.

In recent days, the Missouri Tigers have been out on the recruiting trail.  One player who has drawn the attention of the Missouri staff is 2013 QB Anthony Jennings  6'2"  202  4.52  Marietta (GA).  He took time to speak with, and he talked about his recruitment.

Jennings reports having recently received a Missouri offer to add to the talented signal-caller's already impressive offer list.  He's received offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Boston College, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia, in addition to Missouri.

Jennings reported that Missouri Offensive Coordinator David Yost had recently been by his school.

"It's a great opportunity,"   said Jennings, referring to the Missouri offer.   "I'm just trying to get to know the coaches, and get to know the program.  And then, I can make my decision from there."

As a junior, Jennings passed for over 2200 yards and 20 TDs, and he rushed for over 500 yards and 8 TDs, despite playing through a knee injury that eventually required surgery over the winter.

Now, Jennings says that he's fully recovered, as he demonstrated with his performance last month in Buford (GA), when he was named the MVP of the Atlanta regional Elite 11 QB camp, which earned him an invite to the Elite 11 Finals to be held in California in July.

Jennings completed over 60% of his passes in Marietta's spread offense last season, and he has posted a 34" vertical jump.

Jennings has already visited Alabama, Mississippi State, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia.

I asked Jennings if he'll be visiting Missouri?  He said that he would like to visit Missouri, but does not presently have a Missouri visit planned.

"I'll have to sit down with my family and decide where we're going to go this summer,"  explained Jennings.

Jennings is a teammate of 2013 Missouri offer, WR prospect Tyree Harris.  Jennings indicated that he and Harris may visit Missouri together.

Jennings doesn't currently have a list of favorite schools.

"I'm just trying to get to know as many schools as I can,"  said Jennings.

He would like to narrow things down next month, and visit the schools on that narrowed list.  He said that he'd like to make a decision before his senior year.
