The Missouri Tigers are looking to add defensive linemen for their 2013 recruiting class.   One 2013 defensive tackle prospect who is being recruited by Missouri is Andrew Billings  6'1"  308  Waco (TX).   Recently, Billings took time to speak with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he updated us on his recruitment.

Billings reported that he has recently received a Missouri offer.  He told ShowMeMizzou.com that Missouri Defensive Coordinator Dave Steckel had been by his school to watch him practice.

"I'm glad Missouri offered me,"  said Billings.   "I thought they were going to offer me.  I always knew they had interest in me."

Billings currently reports offers from Baylor, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Mississippi State, North Texas, Northwestern, Rice, SMU, TCU, Texas Tech, Tulsa, and UTSA, in addition to Missouri.

Billings is the 2012 Texas High School Powerlifting Champion in the Super Heavy Weight Division, where he posted a maximum bench press of 470 pounds, a squat of 700 pounds, and dead-lifted 650 pounds.  He reports a personal best of 4.8 seconds in the forty-yard dash, and a 27" vertical jump.

Billings has already taken unofficial visits to Baylor, SMU, TCU, and Texas Tech.

Billings said that he and his family are planning to visit Missouri this summer.

He said that he's trying to put his offers in order.

"Missouri's in my top five,"  said Billings.   "I don't know.  It's hard to put them in order.  I kind of like them all."

ShowMeMizzou.com will continue to follow Andrew Billings' recruitment.
