The Missouri Tigers have been out on the recruiting trail looking at quite a number of players, including a 2013 QB prospect from Florida in Cord Sandberg 6'3" 211 Bradenton (FL) Manatee. Recently, Sandberg took time to speak with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about his recruitment.
Sandberg reports having received a Missouri offer, to go along with offers from Arizona, Auburn, Baylor, Central Florida, Clemson, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, North Carolina, South Florida, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, Western Kentucky, and West Virginia.
"Coach Yost was just at our practice on Thursday," said Sandberg. "He watched a little bit of our practice."
Sandberg described himself as "more of a dual threat guy". He reported some recent tests results, including a forty-yard dash time of 4.57 seconds, and a 32" vertical jump.
Sandberg would like to visit some more schools this summer. He listed Arkansas, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, and Missouri as schools that he'd like to visit.
He said that although he's aware that some of the available QB spots have been taken, and that some of the top QBs have already committed, he's not in a big hurry to make a decision.
"I'm not going to commit to a school that I haven't visited yet," explained Sandberg. "This summer will be my chance to go visit some places. I don't have a definite timetable for those visits. Hopefully, I'll get to do that later this summer."
Sandberg will be busy playing baseball this summer, but he said that he'll try to work around his schedule to take some visits. He shared some of his thoughts about Missouri as a possible destination.
"The Missouri offense kind of fits what I do here in high school," aid Sandberg. "They're in a spread, and they've had a lot of success…………………………………….. They've definitely had some guys who have had success at the quarterback position…………………………………… It's pretty cool that Missouri has interest in me."
ShowMeMizzou.com will continue to follow this talented signal-caller.
