The Missouri Tigers have been busy on the recruiting trail, and defensive linemen have been one of their priorities.  ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2013 DE prospect, Marcus Loud  6'4"  235  4.7   Houston (TX) Wheatley, and he informed me that he has committed to Missouri.

"I'm going to be a Missouri Tiger,"  exclaimed Marcus Loud, when I spoke with the talented defensive end.   "I told the Missouri coaches (on Tuesday)."

Loud has scholarship offers from Air Force, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa State, Louisiana Lafayette, Mississippi State, Southeastern Louisiana, SMU, Texas A&M, Texas State, Texas Tech, Tulsa, UTSA, and Wake Forest, in addition to Missouri.

Loud chose Missouri over a narrowed list of schools that included the Tigers, as well as Arizona, Colorado, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech.

Loud and his family plan to visit Missouri in about a month.   He said that Coach Kuligowski had extended a Missouri offer earlier this spring, and that he has developed a real good relationship with the Missouri Defensive Line Coach.

"I've been doing research on Missouri, and asking questions whenever I get the chance,"  explained Loud.   "It's not too far from home, and it's not too close to home.  And, playing in the SEC is my dream!"

Loud talked about "the way that Coach Kuligowski recruited me" as a major factor in his decision to choose Missouri.  He said that Coach Kuligowski told him that he likes the way that Marcus plays.

"He likes my pursuit, my pursuit to the ball,"  explained Loud, talking about what Coach Kuligowski likes about him.  "I love to pass rush!"

Loud said that it's a big relief to have his decision out of the way.
