Big Defensive Lineman Loves Mizzou Offer

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with one of the top defensive line prospects in the Midwest about his recruitment, and in detail about his Missouri Tiger offer, and where things are at regarding Missouri in his recruitment.

Recently, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2013 defensive line prospect Josh Augusta  6'4"  289  4.7   Peoria (IL), who reports having received a Missouri offer.  He talked about his interest in Missouri, and he updated us on his recruitment.

Augusta reports offers from Illinois, Iowa, Memphis, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and others, in addition to Missouri.  He talked about his Missouri offer.

"I love the Missouri offer,"   said Augusta, who went on to explain that Missouri's graduation rate and business school are attractive to him.  "I like Missouri."

Augusta has already visited Illinois, Notre Dame, Michigan, and Michigan State.

He said that playing in the SEC is attractive, and he's planning to visit Missouri "sometime this summer".

Augusta, who also participates in track and basketball at Peoria, indicated that he would narrow things down this summer, and that he would like to have a final decision near the beginning of his senior season.

"I'm just not for sure, yet,"  explained Augusta, who went on to say that he doesn't have a favorite or list of favorites at present.

Augusta is planning to camp with the Tigers at Missouri's one-day camp in St. Louis.  He's traveling to St. Louis for the camp with some of his teammates.

"I'll probably participate in the camp,"  said Augusta, referring to the one-day camp in St. Louis.
