Missouri DT Hoping To Impress At Mizzou Camp

The Missouri Tigers first session of team camp has a 2013 defensive tackle attending who is starting to see his recruitment pick up as he hopes to turn the Tiger coaches heads with his performance at the event

The Missouri Tigers began their first session of contact and team camp on Thursday morning. Among the schools attending is St. Joseph (MO) Central for the 3-day event.

The Indians have a 2013 DT hearing from the Tigers in Cecil Bratton 6'3" 285lbs 4.9 forty- 26" vertical.

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Bratton about his recruitment, and hopes of impressing Mizzou coaches while attending camp.

"I definitely like the school and have been a Mizzou fan for years," said Bratton when asked about heading to the Missouri football camp. "My Great Uncle I George Seals, who played at Missouri, and my family has some Missouri ties. My high school coach told me that the Missouri coaches liked what they saw last year, and that they would be watching me at this camp and this year to see how I do. Obviously, I hope I do well and would love to pick up an offer from the Tigers."

The big defensive lineman is coming off of a D-line MVP performance at the Kansas City NUC Combine, and is hearing from schools such as Nebraska, Wyoming, Memphis, and South Dakota along with Missouri.

"I want to major in business and my top priority is getting a good education and finding a school with a solid football program that I can contribute to," said Bratton, who finished his junior season with 50 tackles tackles and 5 sacks and earned first team All-State defensive line in Class 4 in 2011.

Bratton reported his lift maxes of 325lbs on the bench press, 455lbs in the squat and 310lbs in the power clean.

He can play the 2 or 3 technique along the defensive line and does a good job of getting low and exploding off the line.

We'll update Cecil Bratton's recruitment as it happens.
