On Sunday, the Missouri Tigers received an unofficial visit from 2014 combo guard D'Angelo Russell  6'4"  180  Montverde (FL) Montverde Academy.  Afterwards, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Russell, and he talked about his Missouri visit, and updated us on his recruitment.

Russell, who lives in Kentucky and plays for the Louisville Magic AAU program, was in St. Louis last weekend for the Elite 100, and on Sunday he traveled up I-70 to check out the Tigers.  Coach Tim Fuller has been recruiting Russell since Fuller was at Louisville.   Russell said that he doesn't yet have a scholarship offer from Missouri, but he expects to receive one soon.

"The Missouri campus was (awesome),"  said Russell.  "It was probably one of the best campuses that I've seen.   I like the open environment………………………………………. The main thing that impressed me was the player development.  That caught my eye."

Russell reports offers from Indiana, Louisville, Ohio State, and Xavier.  He indicated that everyone is even now, and that he's not sure when he will reach a decision.

He said that Missouri is "most definitely" a school of interest for him.  He liked the facilities at Missouri, and he feels good about his relationship with Coach Fuller.

Russell is looking forward to meeting Coach Haith, who was out of town during Russell's visit, and he's looking forward to a return visit to Missouri.

ShowMeMizzou.com will have more on D'Angelo Russell later.
