Boyd Decision Not Far Off

Kansas City 2013 Defensive End Jamone Boyd gives ShowMeMizzou.com the latest update regarding his recruitment and where things are at with him as it appears that he would like to make a commitment sooner rather then later.

One of Missouri's top defensive line targets is 2013 in-state DE prospect Jamone Boyd  6'4"  255   Lee's Summit (MO) West.  Boyd is a rapidly developing player with a huge upside at the collegiate level.

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Boyd, who told me that he was "hanging out" with his good friend, 2013 OL prospect Zach Hannon, of KC (MO) Rockhurst.  Boyd said that he and Hannon had been discussing their recruitment.

"We've actually just got done talking and stuff,"   said Boyd.  "And, neither one of us is sure about what we're going to do."

"I do know that it's not going to be that far away,"  continued Boyd.   "Where I want to go is not going to be too far away."

Boyd re-affirmed that he and Hannon would like to attend the same school.  He also said that he'd like to have a decision "either after our first game, or before; one of the two."

Boyd didn't want to supply any hints about which school he is considering.  But, he did indicate that he and Hannon are not currently in agreement about which school to attend.

I asked Boyd about upcoming visits?

He indicated that he and Hannon are planning to attend the camp at Arkansas this weekend.  He also said that the two of them will likely visit Missouri again this summer before making a commitment.

Boyd was emphatic that he won't be making a commitment while he's at the Arkansas camp.

It seems clear to me that the two schools currently being considered by Boyd and Hannon are Arkansas and Missouri.   Boyd also said that Missouri is among his top schools.  And, he indicated that Nebraska hadn't been included in their most recent discussion.

Boyd reported having been timed this summer at 4.63 seconds in the forty yard dash.  He also said that he's preparing to take the ACT.

ShowmeMizzou.com will continue to follow Jamone Boyd's recruitment.
