Jones Shares Thoughts On Missouri Trip

The Missouri Tigers received an unofficial visit from of of their 2013 wide receiver targets from down South, and spoke with him to get the very latest, including how his trip to check out the Tigers went.

On Saturday, Missouri hosted 2013 WR prospect Donovahn Jones  6'3"  195  4.45  Hampton (GA) Dutchtown on an unofficial visit.  Jones and his family arrived in Columbia on Saturday morning and toured the football facilities as well as getting a good look at the academic side of things at Missouri.  Afterward, Jones took time to speak with, and he talked about his Missouri visit.

"I got to see (Faurot) Field, and the locker rooms, and everything,"   said Jones, who was hosted by Missouri Assistant Coach Alex Grinch.   "I liked it.  It's not that big.  I liked how everything was so close together.  It looked like it's a big college football town.   It was quiet.  I liked that, because I'm like a quiet type of guy.  It looked like it would fit for me."

Jones was accompanied on his visit by his family.  I asked him what his family thought of Missouri?

"Oh, they loved it!  They didn't even have any questions to ask or anything,"  replied Jones.  "The academics are nice!  They're not just interested in you for football.  They actually want you to graduate, too."

Jones said that he intends to return to Missouri for an official visit, probably after the regular season.

Jones doesn't have a narrowed list yet, but he indicated that Missouri is among his top schools, and that the Tigers will receive one of his official visits.

Jones then went on to say that he will likely make a decision "after the football season", once he's taken some official visits.

We'll have more from Jones later.
