"It was real chill," said Hannon. "It went really well. I went up there with Jamone Boyd and Anthony Sherrils, and we got to hang out with all the other recruits who were there today like Trent Hosick, Clay Rhodes, Chase Abbington, Jake Campos, it seemed like everybody was there. It was real cool. We got to look around at everything and talk to coaches and talked to Mike Alden. It gave me a lot to think about."
I asked Zach if this changed things with his recruitment and if Missouri had made some headway with him following this visit?
"It has. I can say that Missouri is back in the picture and I will be considering them along with Arkansas and Nebraska now among who I will be choosing from. I had a really good talk with the Missouri coaches and they explained how there would always be a place for me at Missouri and expressed how much they wanted me to be a Tiger. There was some confusion after Jake Campos committed and I thought Missouri had reached their limit on offensive linemen. Coach Hill and the staff straightened that out with me today. I have always liked Missouri, so that was good to hear."
Hannon also talked about being there with most of the other top players in the state and the possibility of playing with them in college.
"It was really good. Trent, Chase and everyone talked about us all playing together and getting all the top players coming to Missouri. It was fun, so we'll see what happens."
Zach told me that he would still like to make a decision soon if possible, but that things were now up in the air about when it may actually happen.
" My initial plan was to make a commitment in early July, but it seems like it has been pushed back each week. I would like to maybe make an announcement this Thursday or Friday, but I just don't know. I have to think things over and pick the place that is best for me. I would like to get it over with and be able to just focus on my season, and my parents have been encouraging me to make a decision, but there is a lot to think about between now and then."
He also talked about official visits regardless of making a commitment.
"I have been thinking that I might still take some official visits even if I make a commitment. That is also something I will have to try and decide on," said Hannon.
