Among the visitors on hand for last weekend's Mizzou Madness was 2014 PG Anton Beard  6'1"  178  Little Rock (AR) Parkview Magnet, who had previously committed to Missouri.

After he got home from his unofficial visit to Missouri, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Beard, and he talked about his visit to Missouri, as well as updated us on his recruitment.

"I enjoyed (Mizzou Madness) a lot,"  said Beard, who said that he could see himself out on that court.  "The crowd was into it.  The team was into it.    It was just an all-around fun experience."

Beard said that the current Missouri player whose game most closely resembles his own is Mike Dixon, although when I asked him to identify his favorite Missouri player he named Phil Pressey.

Beard spent a good part of the weekend at Mizzou, along with his father and his uncle.  He spent time hanging out with Corey Haith and 2014 prospect Devin Booker.    Beard said that he knows Booker from having played against him on the AAU circuit.  Beard played for Team Thad last summer, and he said that he may play for a different AAU team next summer.  He mentioned the possibility of playing on a team with Booker.

Beard said that he is solidly committed to Missouri.   He talked about how his recruitment by other people has died down.

"I was being recruited by other people,"  explained Beard.  "But, I told them that my decision was with Missouri right now, and that if (that changed), I'd let everybody know.  Right now, I'm not (receiving any recruitment).     I'm solid (to Missouri).   I don't see any change coming."

Beard said that he and his mother will return to Mizzou for an unofficial visit in mid-November.

"My mom's coming with me that day,"  said Beard.    "She hasn't been to Mizzou before."

ShowMeMizzou.com will have more on Anton Beard later.
