JUCO DL Prospect Shares The Latest

ShowMeMizzou.com has the very latest on one of the Missouri Tigers top Junior College defensive line targets who will be heading to his new school in January as a mid-year transfer. He updates us on his plans.

Recently, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2013 DE prospect and Missouri offer Za'Darius Smith  6'6"  252  Greenville (AL) East Mississippi C.C., who updated us on his recruitment.

Smith holds offers from Auburn, Florida State, Kansas, Miami, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Washington, and West Virginia, among others, in addition to Missouri.

A little more than a month ago, Smith told ShowMeMizzou.com that Missouri was in his top three, along with West Virginia and Florida State.  Since then, the highly regarded defensive end has been busy taking visits.

Smith has taken official visits to Mississippi, Texas A&M and West Virginia, and he's taken unofficial visits to Auburn, Florida State, and Mississippi State.  He's visited Florida State and Mississippi State multiple times each.

He is taking an official visit to Missouri on December 14.  Missouri will be Smith's final visit before the talented mid-year graduate makes his decision.

Smith will have three years to play two, and he has previously indicated that he's looking for a program where he "fits in", and where there's an opportunity for immediate playing time.

Smith named a new top five, including Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, Texas A&M, and West Virginia.

We'll have more on Smith later.
