This past weekend, Missouri hosted at least 16 official visitors, including one 2013 DE prospect Dimarya Mixon 6’4” 245 Mesquite (TX) West Mesquite, who came to Columbia with an idea that he might like to play for the Tigers. During his visit, he made the call that he will play football at the University of Missouri. ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Mixon while he was on his way home, and he talked about his visit and his decision to play for Missouri. “The visit went well,” said Mixon, speaking of his Missouri visit. “I had a great time down there. It’s a wonderful fit for me.” Mixon said that Coach Pinkel was excited when he told him that he wanted to play at Missouri. He said that he felt good about it, as well.
“I went into Coach Pinkel’s office and sat down with him,” said Mixon. “He was real excited! And, it was a big relief off of my back!”
Mixon talked about what went into his decision.
“Everything was right, the defensive scheme, and the type of program they have,” explained Mixon. “I liked it. I thought it’d be a great place for me.”
He was hosted by Missouri junior linebacker Darvin Ruise.
“I had a good time with all of the players,” continued Mixon.
Mixon is solidly committed to Missouri. He went on to talk about his commitment to Mizzou. “I’m done with the whole recruiting process,” said Mixon, explaining that his recruitment is over.
Then, he went on to talk about his future at Mizzou.
“You can be expecting some great things to happen,” said Mixon .
