Decision Nears For Augusta

One of the Missouri Tigers biggest targets made his official visit over this past weekend, and while he did not commit, after a few days to reflect on things he gives the very latest update on his recruitment.

One of at least sixteen 2013 prospects to take their official visits to Missouri over the weekend was DT prospect Josh Augusta   6'5"  295   Peoria (IL).  On his way home, he took time to speak with, and he talked about his visit, and updated us on his recruitment.

"(My Missouri visit) was good,"  said Augusta.   "We got there at 3:30 in the morning…………………………………. They had somebody there waiting for us."

Augusta said that he hung out with some of the committed players in Missouri's 2013 class.  He identified Anthony Sherrils and A.J. Logan as two of the guys that he spent time with on his visit.  He also said that Mizzou fed them well on his visit.

He talked about how he and his mother spent quite a bit of time with some Missouri academic advisors.  And, they attended the Missouri basketball game on Saturday afternoon.

Augusta said that Missouri didn't pressure him for a commitment.  He still has the Tigers on top of his list of finalists, which includes Illinois and Michigan State.

Augusta said that he will visit Illinois this weekend, and that he will then "probably" make a final decision over the Christmas Holidays.  He's not planning to visit Michigan State again.

Augusta said that Missouri is not only his favorite, but is also his mother's favorite.  He said that she likes Missouri "even more so" than before.

Augusta said that he "likes Missouri a lot".

I'll have more on Josh Augusta later.
