This year's Offense-Defense All-American Bowl was played in Houston's Reliant Stadium, and featured multiple future Missouri Tigers, including 2013 DE prospect Dimarya Mixon 6'4" 245 West Mesquite (TX). Afterwards, Mixon took time to visit with ShowMeMIzzou.com. He talked about the week-long experience, and he gave us an update on his recruitment.
"I had a great time there," said Mixon, talking about the O-D All-American Bowl. "It was a great experience! And, I got to meet some of my future teammates. That was real fun!"
"They have great personalities," said Mixon, speaking of Abbington and Hosick.
Mixon went on to talk about being on the field with so much talent.
"The competition was making me better," said Mixon. "That's what it was doing. That's what I liked about it.................................................. Going against some of those bigger guys, I faced some of the biggest tackles I've ever gone up against, it made me think that it's time to get better and get ready for the next level."
"It was an eye-opener, too," laughed Mixon. "How much I need to step up."
Mixon said that he is "done with recruiting". He's not taking calls from other schools, or taking any other visits. He plans to sign with Missouri in February, and arrive at Missouri in June.
