JUCO Visitor Tells All About Mizzou Visit

ShowMeMizzou.com filled you in last week with a report on a JUCO safety visitor coming to Missouri for his official visit this weekend. He spoke to us following his departure from his official to Mizzou about his next move.

Over the weekend, the Missouri Tigers hosted a few official visitors, including 2013 junior college safety prospect Duron Singleton  6'1"  210  Fresno (CA) City College.    On his visit, Singleton picked up a Missouri offer.  Afterwards, Singleton spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about his Missouri visit, and he updated us on his recruitment.

"The visit went great!  I loved the team,"    said Singleton.   "They're very cool.   They're down to earth guys.    The facilities are great.  The campus is cool.   The stadium is nice.   The weight room is nice.   I mean, I really enjoyed myself.  The coaching staff was great!  They're a great group of guys.   I liked everything there.  It was very cool."

I asked Singleton what the coaches had to say to him?

"All of the coaches liked me,"  replied Singleton.   "They're a pretty cool group of guys……………………………………. I talked to Coach Pinkel one on one.  He told me that they like the way I play, and that they need somebody that can come in and play right away.   And that they need somebody who's physical like me."

Singleton said that he thanked Coach Pinkel, and he said that he's "excited" about the opportunity.

"At this moment, I'm not sure,"  explained Singleton.    "I don't know.  I still haven't decided what I'm going to do.  I do like Mizzou a lot.  I'm going to sit down and talk to my family, and think about everything."

I asked Singleton if he has a list of his top schools?

"As of right now, it would have to be probably Missouri, Auburn, and probably Syracuse,"     replied Singleton, who confirmed that Missouri is his top choice at present.

Singleton said that he'll "probably take one or two more visits".   He isn't sure which schools he's going to visit.

"I'll probably take at least one more visit,"  said Singleton.   "I'm not sure, yet.   I'm going to have to talk to my family about it."

Singleton said he can "absolutely" see himself playing in the Black & Gold on Faurot Field.   With Signing Day just more than two weeks away, he said that he's not sure when he'll make a final decision.

ShowMeMizzou.com will have more on Singleton later.
