Visit Has Penton Ready To Join New Family

The Missouri Tigers have had a verbal commitment from St. Louis cornerback Aarion Penton for almost a year now. The CBC playmaker took his official visit to the University of Missouri this past weekend and shares how it went and his future plans as a Tiger.

St.Louis (MO) CBC WR/CB Aarion Penton 5'10" 175 4.5 forty committed to the University of Missouri almost a year ago while attending the Tigers junior day event. This past weekend, the talented playmaker made his official visit to Missouri, and told how it went and how it realized just how much he made the right decision all that time ago.

"It was wonderful! I didn't want to come home," said Penton with a laugh." Jimmie Hunt is the best host ever. I also hung out with Marcus Lucas, Bud Sasser, DGB, Eric Waters and the new QB who is in my class that just arrived from Georgia, Eddie Printz. It felt like I was in the family already."

Besides the good time he had with his future teammates, Penton mentioned how the set up for athletes also stood out to him.

"the training facility for the athletes.How the tutoring place and locker rooms and cafe were all in the same place. I felt like that will really bs helpful in allowing me to be successful,"he said.

While on his visit, Aarion said he talked with the coaching staff about his future and where he will fit in on the team.

"Yeah, I'm going down to play corner at Mizzou. EJ Gaines has one side locked down at corner and the other spot is up for grabs. I want to come in and compete for it. The coaches also said that they are looking forward to me playing special teams like kick returner and punt return," Penton said.

With signing day right around the corner and his official visit now behind him, Penton can't wait to get his college career started.

"I'm so excited to get down there and join the new family and be a Tiger," said Penton.
