2014 OT Adds Offers, Names Top Choices

With signing day for football recruits less then two weeks away, the next class of football prospects is already being targeted by schools. ShowMeMizzou.com updates on of the top in-state 2014 prospect's recruitment.

This time of year in the recruiting world is one of the busiest times of all as schools are in the process of wrapping up their recruiting class for 2013 while at the same time laying the ground work and working towards next years 2014 class as well.

One of the top prospects in the state of Missouri already garnering a good deal of attention is St. Louis (MO) CBC OT Brian Wallace 6'6"290 5.3 forty.

Wallace received an early verbal offer from Missouri last fall during his junior season and made several unofficial visits to games. Recently, the big lineman added a couple of new offers and is hearing from more schools.

"Just the other week I got offers from Nebraska and Iowa,"said Wallace regarding new happenings with his recruitment. "I was sitting in class and my coach came in and handed me a note telling me to call these coaches tonight. It was Nebraska and Iowa, and when I did, both told me that they wanted to extend offers for me to come play at their schools."

Brian spoke briefly about the conversations bs had with the college coaches.

"Nebraska's coach told me that they saw my film and really liked it, and that they don't usually offer players without seeing them in person first, but they liked my film enough that they were willing to do that with me. He also invited me to their junior day on January 26th. I will be attending that. Iowa's coach pretty much said the same think and it was basically chit chat and an introduction along with offering me,"said Wallace.

Wallace said he was happy with the new offers and that they along with his Missouri offer make for an early top three schools.

"Northern Illinois has also talked to Coach Pingel about me, but right now it's those three schools for me. Missouri is my first choice. I am going to their junior day in March. They were first to offer and I have gotten to know the coaches very well. I like the SEC and how it's home. Nebraska would bs my second choice and then Iowa third at the moment."

Brian Wallace informed me that he would like to major in the field of sports management or business. He also gave criteria of what he will be looking for in a school and if an early decision might be possible.

"I'm still trying to think things over about when I might want to make my decision or if I want to do it early. It could be early or maybe summer. Distance from home will be a factor. I want my family to come see me play every week. Also academics and relationship with the coaching staff will be factors," he said.

ShowMeMizzou.com will follow Brian Wallace's recruitment closely over the coming months.
