ShowMeNext 2014: St. Louis Sack Master

One of the top pass rusher in the state of Missouri during the 2012 high school football season was a talented defensive end from St. Louis who is part of the 2014 class being introduced by ShowMeMizzou.com and ShowMePreps.com

College football programs are always on the look out for defensive ends that can get to the QB and disrupt plays in the backfield. Generally, those prospects are a high priority.

One of the top pass rushers in the St. Louis area and the sate of Missouri in 2012 was Ritenour (MO) DE Adewale Adeoyo 6'4"210 4.7 forty, 32" vertical jump. Adeoyo recorded 18 sacks as a junior along with his 67 tackles and has caught the attention of colleges early.

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Adeoyo recently to get an idea of where things were with his recruitment early.

"Things are going well," said Adeoyo. "I have heard already from Nebraska, Clemson,Missouri,Arkansas,South Carolina Texas A&M,Indiana,New Mexico, Ball State,Northern Illinois,Toledo, and Northern Iowa. Most of it is mail and a few have come by my school.

I asked Adeoyo specifially about his interest in Missouri?

"I like Mizzou a lot. Aldon Smith is my favorite player and I would like to pattern myself after him. Missouri moved into the SEC, which is big. I think they will be fine in that league once they have had time to adjust and don't have as many injuries,"he said.

The athletic Adeoyo is also a talented track athlete having competed in the 100 meters running an 11.4 along with running the 200 meters and participating in the triple and high jumps. However, it is wrestling that he credits with helping him become the sack master he was as a junior.

"In wrestling you gotta learn how to make people dance and get them off balance and attack. The same thing applies to football. You get them going one way and then attack them. I have gotten pretty good using my hands and with the swim move. I still need to get stronger, but I am working on it," said Adeoyo.

Sporting a 3.2 GPA, the athletic defensive end says he would like to major in business.

He also looks forward to attending some events and camps this spring and summer.

"I am going to attend as many camps and maybe a few combines. I will be going to the Opening Day event happening in Chicago. My plan is to see what is out there before I make a decision anytime soon,"he said.

Adeoyo will be a player to watch as 2014 recruiting picks up in the state of Missouri and we'll have the info on him.
