Keystone State Corner Talks Missouri Offer

The Missouri Tigers have ventured into the state of Pennsylvania in recent years and plucked a couple of players from that state who are currently on the team. It looks like they would like to add another one.

With this year's recruiting cycle well underway, the Missouri Tigers have extended a scholarship offer to 2014 CB prospect Anthony Davis  6’1”  175  Monroeville (PA)  Gateway.  Recently, Davis spoke to, and he talked about his Missouri offer, and he updating us regarding his recruitment.


Davis said that he learned of his Missouri offer from his school principal.


“I was excited to get the Missouri offer,”   said Davis.   “I had gotten a lot of mail from Missouri, but I really hadn’t heard much from them, so it was a bit of a shocker.”


Davis currently holds offers from Bowling Green, Illinois, Temple, Texas Tech, Toledo, and West Virginia, in addition to Missouri.


“I’m interested in Missouri,”  said Davis.   “But, I don’t know a lot about them.”


Davis doesn’t have any definite visit plans at this time.  His recruitment is just getting started.


Davis played both safety and corner for Gateway this past season.   Davis said that he’s been timed at 4.54 in the forty.   He has also played basketball.   He said that he may run track this spring. 


Davis said that he’d like to have a school decision by the beginning of his senior season.
