PA Safety Discusses Missouri Offer reported on the Missouri Tigers extending an offer to a Keystone State cornerback last week. It appears as though Mizzou would like to have his teammate come to Columbia with him and he shares his thoughts with us.

The Missouri Tigers have extended a scholarship offer to 2014 safety prospect Montae Nicholson  6’3”  203 Monroeville (PA) Gateway.   Recently, Nicholson spoke with, and he talked about his Missouri offer, and his recruitment.

“My school principal told me that Missouri offered me a scholarship,”   explained Nicholson.   “It’s significant because Missouri’s my first SEC school to offer.      Missouri’s an important school.   Pretty much any school in the SEC is a big school.   The SEC is the conference in which everybody wants to play.”

Nicholson reports currently holding offers from Florida State, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Stanford, and Texas Tech, among others, in addition to Missouri.

“I don’t know much about Missouri,”   explained Nicholson.    “It seems like a great school.   I’ve heard that the academics are great.  They’ve offered me and shown interest in me, so I definitely want to take my time and do my research on Missouri.    I want to learn a lot more about Missouri.   They’re definitely an option, now.”

Nicholson reports personal bests of 4.49 in the forty, and a 37” standing vertical jump.   Nicholson runs high hurdles, and does the long jump for his high school track team, as well as the high jump and relays.   He said that his best time in the high hurdles is 14.1 seconds.  Nicholson also plays basketball.

Nicholson said that he will try to take an unofficial visit to Missouri, probably sometime this summer.

He said that his decision will probably come “after the season”.
