Missouri Jr. Day Visitor Feels Offer Is Close

Among the many junior day visitors this past weekend was a Texas defensive lineman who talked to ShowMeMizzou.com about his unofficial visit to Missouri, and where things stand with the Tigers.

One of a host of visitors on the Missouri campus on Saturday for the Tigers’ Junior Day was 2014 DE prospect C.J. Reese 6’4” 260 San Antonio (TX) Madison, who took time afterwards to speak with ShowMeMizzou.com to talk about his Missouri interest and his recruitment.

“My mother and my brother came with me (to Missouri),” said Reese. “It was a long trip. I really like the Missouri campus. I kind of fit in at Missouri, so I’ll see where it goes.”

Missouri is recruiting Reese as a defensive end, but the possibility exists that he could grow into a defensive tackle. Reese does not yet have a Missouri offer, but he said that his primary recruiter, Missouri assistant Craig Kuligowski, indicated that Missouri likes his potential, and that a Missouri offer might be coming pretty soon. He said that the Missouri staff wanted to see him, and that they are currently evaluating him.

Reese currently holds offers from Colorado and SMU. He said that he believes that Boise State, Missouri, and Texas are all close to offering.

Reese reports a 4.86 forty, and 28” vertical jump. He has a lean build, and he said that he expects to add about 25-30 pounds of muscle.

Reese has been to Texas, and he’s planning to visit Boise State this spring.

Reese said that he is waiting for his top three schools to offer, including Texas, Boise State, and Missouri, in that order.
