Georgia Safety Talks About Missouri Offer

The Missouri Tigers football progam continues it's attempt to mine some of the top talent from the state of Georgia. talks with another prospect from there to pick up a Mizzou offer.

The Missouri Tigers have gone back to Georgia to extend a scholarship offer to 2014 safety prospect Cortez McDowell 6’2” 203 Locust Grove (GA). Recently, spoke to McDowell, and he talked about the Missouri offer, and he updated us on his recruitment.

“Missouri offered me a scholarship last week,” said McDowell. “Coach Grinch told me about the offer.”

McDowell also reported scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia, among others, in addition to Missouri.

“I thought it was pretty sweet (that Missouri offered),” explained McDowell. “The day before, I was talking about Missouri with one of my teammates…………………………………….. It was pretty good. It was fun that they offered me.”

McDowell indicated that he’d like to visit Missouri this summer.

“I know Missouri is in the SEC, and it’s a good school,” said McDowell. “I like their uniforms.”

I asked McDowell when he might make a decision?

“I’ll probably take it all the way until Signing Day, if I can make it that long,” replied McDowell, who also plays center field for the Locust Grove baseball team. “If I don’t make it that long, I’ll probably do it right after my senior season. I’ll start narrowing down before my senior season.”
