Florida Defender Likes Missouri Offer

The Missouri Tigers continue to scour the Sunshine state of Florida looking for top prospects to bring up to the Show-Me state and help make their football program better able to compete in the SEC.

Missouri has extended a scholarship offer to 2014 LB Greg Miclisse 6’1” 229 Palm Bay (FL) Bayside. ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Miclisse, and he talked about his Missouri interest and his recruitment.

“I’ve been talking to Coach Ford and Coach Grinch,” said Miclisse, referring to a pair of Missouri assistant coaches. “(Missouri) offered me a scholarship.”

Miclisse reports having received “twenty-something” scholarship offers, including Arizona, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Louisville, LSU, Nebraska, Oklahoma, SMU, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas Tech, UCLA, USF, Wake Forest, and Washington, among others, in addition to Missouri.

Miclisse reports a personal best of 4.73 seconds in the forty and a 32” standing vertical jump. Miclisse is considering Missouri, and he is planning to visit Missouri “maybe in the summer, or if not in the summer, one of my official visits”.

“Missouri is definitely (a school that I like),” said Miclisse. “They’re in the SEC! They have a great football program! They have a great history, great tradition, and great coaches.”

“I haven’t put out my top 10 yet,” continued Miclisse. “But (Missouri) is probably going to be in my top 10. Because for one, they’re in the SEC, and they’ve got a good defense.”

Miclisse said that former Missouri Tiger Sean Weatherspoon is his “favorite linebacker in the NFL”.

Miclisse has been invited to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He said that he may announce his decision at that event.

He wants to narrow things down prior to the season, and maybe take some visits during the season.
