Georgia DB Impressed With Missouri

The Missouri Tigers hosted several visitors recently, including a Georgia cornerback who came away with some definite opinions of Mizzou and where they fit in to his recruitment at the moment.

This past weekend, Missouri received an unofficial visit from 2014 CB prospect Christopher Murphy 5’11” 180 Marietta (GA) Lassiter. Murphy is a former teammate of Missouri freshman QB Eddie Printz, and he and his father spent parts of Friday and Saturday checking out the Tigers. After he returned home, Murphy spoke with, and he talked about his visit, and he updated us on his recruitment.

“It was a great visit,” said Murphy, talking about his Missouri visit. “I really enjoyed it………………………………………… I didn’t expect it to be as impressive as it was.”

Murphy said that he really enjoyed the time that he spent with current Missouri players Jimmie Hunt, Darvin Ruise, Kentrell Brothers, and Corbin Berkstresser.

Murphy reports offers from Akron, Arkansas, Connecticut, Indiana, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Utah, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Wake Forest, Washington State, and West Virginia, in addition to Missouri.

Murphy has already visited Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest.

Murphy reports a personal best of 4.4 seconds in the forty, 4.1 in the shuttle, and a 37” standing vertical. He’s on pace to graduate from high school in December.

“I’m going to narrow things down in about a month or so,” explained Murphy. “And then, I’ll probably decide somewhere between the end of my spring practice and the middle of the summer.”

There’s a very good chance that (Missouri) will be (on my narrowed down list),” explained Murphy, who plans to take a few more visits this spring. “I have a pretty good idea of where I want to go.”

Murphy said that he’s “looking for a school with a great support staff off the field and on the field”. He also said that Missouri meets his criteria
