Wide Receiver Talks Missouri Visit

Talented wide receiver and recent University of Missouri unofficial visitor talks to ShowMeMizzou.com about his recruitment by the Tigers along with his thoughts on his trip there.

Missouri has been recruiting 2014 WR prospect Thomas Richard 6’1” 185 Nashville (TN) Christ Presbyterian Academy. Earlier this week, Richard took an unofficial visit to Missouri.

After he returned home, he spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about his visit to Missouri, and he talked about his recruitment.

“(My Missouri visit) went really well,” explained Richard, whose mother is a Missouri alumnus. “All of the facilities and everything are pretty new, and I like how they’re rebuilding everything. I like the coaching staff. My mom was excited to be there. It was just a fun trip.”

“She had been telling me that I’d love the campus,” said Richard, who went on to explain that his mother was correct. “I loved it! Everything was awesome!”

Richard said that he’s been speaking with Missouri Assistant Coach Pat Washington.

“I love the coaching staff,” said Richard. “Coach Washington and his receivers looked like they’ve known each other forever. They looked like were having fun. I really liked the practice…………………………………….. I really like the up-tempo offense.”

Richard has only played one season of football. Before that, Richard was a basketball player. During his junior season, Richard had 55 receptions for 1072 yards (19.5 yards/reception) and 13 TDs.

He’s awaiting his initial scholarship offer. It sounds like that’s just a matter of time.
