Visit Sold New Mizzou Hoops Commit

The Missouri Tigers added a commitment for a position of need for the 2013 basketball team at point guard. talked to him and got his thoughts on his visit and decision.

On Saturday, Missouri received a commitment from 2013 PG Shane Rector 6’1” 170 Bronx (NY) South Kent (CT) South Kent School.

Rector had visited Missouri this weekend, and on his way home, he took time to speak with about his official visit to Missouri and his decision to sign with the Tigers.

“I committed to Missouri,” said Rector. “I felt comfortable with the coaches. And, I felt like it’s a good fit for me. You know, Coach Haith is a good coach, and I feel like he’s going to help me improve my game, and just get me to where I want to go.”

Rector’s father accompanied him on his official visit to Missouri. Rector said that he talked it over with his father, and that they were in agreement about his decision. He talked about his Missouri visit.

“The campus is beautiful!” said Rector. “I hung out with some of the players. They’re cool.”

Rector said that he will sign the Letter of Intent within the next day or two. He said that he and Missouri 2013 signee Wes Clark are “good friends”.

“Wes (Clark) is a good friend of mine,” said Rector.

Rector also met Missouri’s newly signed center, junior college big man Keanau Post, who was on campus this weekend, as well.
