Missouri Offer Feels Good For Florida Back

Entering their second year in the SEC, the Missouri Tigers continue to increase their efforts to recruit the Southeast and Florida for talented football prospects to add to the Mizzou program. This Florida back talks about his Tiger offer.

The Missouri Tigers have extended a scholarship offer to 2014 RB prospect Ish Witter 5’8” 190 Tampa (FL) Alonzo, who recently took time to speak with ShowMeMizzou.com about the Missouri offer and the current status of his recruitment.

“It felt real good to get a Missouri offer, because they’re an SEC school,” said Witter, talking about his Missouri offer. “The SEC is the best conference.”

Witter reported offers from Marshall, Rutgers, Tulane, UMass, and Utah State, in addition to Missouri. He’s receiving attention from a host of schools.

“I’ve been talking to Coach (Brian) Jones,” explained Witter, referring to the Missouri assistant. “He actually was here last week.”

Witter, who reports a personal best of 4.53 seconds in the forty-yard dash, is planning to visit Missouri. He’s not sure when he’ll visit Missouri. He’s in the early stages of his recruitment.

“I’m going to take my visits, basically,” explained Witter. “And, just see how I like the schools. Then hopefully, after the football season, I’ll make a decision.”

Witter said that he expects that Coach Jones will be back to see him play later this spring.
