Last month, 2014 OT prospect Blake Hance 6’6” 270 Jacksonville (IL) had named Missouri as one of his top schools. Since then, Hance, who is also being recruited by some schools as a tight end, has picked up a few more offers. He took a few minutes to speak with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he updated us on his recruitment.
“I’m up to eleven offers,” said Hance. “Right now, I’m just trying to get a feel for all of the schools that have offered me. Right now, I haven’t really ruled any of them out. I’m just trying to learn as much as I can about all of them.”
Hance currently holds offers from Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi State, North Carolina State, Nebraska, Northern Illinois, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Western Michigan, and Wyoming, in addition to Missouri. Minnesota and Northwestern are both close to offering.
I asked Hance if Missouri is still one of his top schools?
“Missouri is definitely a place I like a lot,” explained Hance. “You know, it’s a great place. It’s close to home. It’s in the SEC. There’s a ton of things I like about (Missouri). Their definitely one of the schools that I think about a lot………………………………………… It’s definitely right up there. It’s one of the schools that I’ve been to most recently, and that I’ve probably gotten most comfortable with.”
Hance has visited a few schools this spring, including Illinois, Vanderbilt, and North Carolina State. He is planning to take some more unofficial visits, including another one to Missouri, “once summer starts”, before he makes a decision in “late June or July”.
