The Missouri Tigers had a big day on Monday as they scored not one, but two verbal commitments on the day.
The second commitment is Thompson Station (TN) cornerback Finus Stribling 6'0" 170 4.45 forty 38.6 vertical jump.
"Missouri just offered me today,"said Stribling." I spoke to Alex Grinch, who has been recruiting me for about the past three weeks to a month, and he told me that they wanted to offer me as a cornerback. That they liked my speed, quickness and work ethic. He told me to think long and hard about it, but I didn't really need to, I knew Missouri is where I wanted to play, so I spoke to my parents about it and called him back tonight and told him I wanted to commit. He was very excited and said that they would help me reach my full potential."
Stribling, who had offers from Youngstown State and Tennessee-Martin, and has been being recruited by Tennessee and Vanderbilt, has yet to visit Missouri. However, he said that he is 100% solid to the Tigers based on what he already knows.
Academics is very important to me and I want to major in physics. I know Missouri has a 92% graduation rate and that means a lot. I also know that they are new to the SEC and that Coach Pinkel has had a lot of success. I look forward to playing in the SEC. I am solid. If other schools came and offered now it wouldn't matter and I would tell them I am solid Mizzou," he said.
Stribling described his best attributes as his leadership, work ethic, going hard every play and his speed, quickness and ability to bait QBs.
He becomes Missouri's 9th known commitment for 2014.
