Murphy Closer To Making a Decision

After twice making unofficial visits to the University of Missouri this spring, ShowMeMizzou.com has the very latest on a Missouri offer's recruitment, including when a possible decision will be made.

Recently, the very talented 2014 CB prospect, Christopher Murphy 5’11” 180 Marietta (GA) Lassiter, spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he updated us on his recruitment.

Murphy reports offers from Akron, Arkansas, Connecticut, Indiana, Louisville, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Syracuse, Utah, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Wake Forest, Washington State, and West Virginia, in addition to Missouri.

Murphy has twice taken unofficial visits to Missouri this spring.

“Missouri’s a school that I like,” explained Murphy. “I talk to Coach Grinch and Coach Pinkel weekly. So, I’m really starting to form a great relationship with the coaches at Missouri.”

Murphy included Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Arizona, and North Carolina State as other schools that he likes, although he emphasized that he does not have a top five list of schools.

“Missouri is one of my top choices,” said Murphy.

Murphy has already visited Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest, in addition to Missouri.

Murphy reports a personal best of 4.4 seconds in the forty, 4.1 in the shuttle, and a 37” standing vertical. He’s on pace to graduate from high school in December. And, with that early graduation in mind, Murphy is already beginning to head down the home stretch in his recruitment.

“I’m going to be committing here pretty soon,” explained Murphy. “So, we’re going to take one last round of visits, just so that I can get a feel for each school one more time. Then, I can just commit and be done with everything.”

Murphy said that he doesn’t have a complete list of the schools that he’s going to visit, but he named Missouri, West Virginia, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma State, and Arkansas as schools that he is going to visit next month. He said that he’s “going to try to make it out to Washington State and Arizona, as well”.

Murphy said that he will make a decision “sometime in the next month”.
