Levi is a native of San Francisco, and an ardent San Francisco Forty-Niners fan.
“Aldon Smith is my favorite player,” said Levi.
So, Levi already knew about Missouri Defensive Line Coach Craig Kuligowski, when Coach Kul came to watch him practice this spring.
“Coach Kul came to watch me practice, and then he offered me like two weeks later,” said Levi.
“It’s SEC,” explained Levi, talking about the Missouri offer. “Anybody would have to like the SEC. It’s the top tier, the best conference in college football. I’m excited about my Missouri offer!”
Levi also has an offer from Washington. And, he’s being looked at by Alabama, Michigan State, and Texas A&M, among others. He’s already visited Washington, and he said that he really likes the Huskies. He said that because they’ve each offered him early, Missouri and Washington would be among his top schools throughout his recruitment.
“Missouri would definitely be top five for me,” explained Levi. “Missouri, Washington, and Alabama.”
Levi reported a forty time in the 5.7 range. But he has a 21” vertical, and he has a personal best in the shuttle of 4.7 seconds.
“I’m mobile for my size,” explained Levi, who went on to report a personal best of 25 reps at 225 pounds in the bench press, a maximum in the squat of 540 pounds, and a 430-pound maximum in the bench press.
“Coach Kul told me that he liked what he saw,” explained Levi. “He said that I have big hands and long arms.”
Levi will finish up at San Mateo next May, and he will have three years to play two. He expects to take his official visits after the season and sign in February. He said that he might be able to take a visit during his team’s bye week.
And, Levi said that Missouri will definitely receive one of his official visits.
