The Missouri Tigers have extended a scholarship offer to a big, physical 2014 WR prospect, Jesse Jackson 6’2” 202 Petal (MS). This week, he took time to speak with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about the Missouri offer, and he updated us on his recruitment.
“It felt great! I was kind of surprised,” said Jackson, referring to his Missouri offer. “I didn’t know that Missouri was looking at me. That’s a long way from Mississippi, so I’m pretty excited about that one.”
Prior to the Missouri offer, Jackson’s recruiting focus was fixed on nearby schools. He had previously identified Mississippi State and Ole Miss as his top schools.
“I really wasn’t planning on going more than two or three states away,” explained Jackson. “But, Missouri’s definitely a big offer. There’s going to be more offers out there.”
Jackson has played in the slot, as well as on the outside. He reported a personal best of 4.43 seconds in the forty-yard dash, a 31” vertical jump, and a 4.1-second time in the 5-10-5 shuttle. Jackson’s a good student, who is interested in engineering.
Jackson would like to begin to narrow things down this summer. Before he does that, he wants to research some of his more recent offers.
He’d like to take his official visits following his senior season.
