Offensive line has been a prime focus in recruiting for the Missouri Tigers football program, and it appears as though it will continue to be, as the search for quality blockers to help key the offense continues with a Texas standout joining the list of offers.
ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Dallas (TX) Bishop Dunne OT Jovan Pruitt 6'6" 295 5.2 forty about his recruitment and Tiger offer.
"I have been hearing from Missouri for awhile now and they have been heavily recruiting me for about three or four weeks and extended an offer to me," said Pruitt. "Their running backs coach offered me and told me how they rate players they are recruiting, and that I received the highest rating they give them. I liked hearing that and I will give them a serious look once I start focusing on recruiting. I haven't really been paying much attention to it now because I have been very busy with other things."
He spoke about what he knew about Mizzou and the process he will use going forward in evaluating them along with his other offers.
"I would like to know more about Missouri. Everything is pretty much equal with all the schools right now since I haven't concentrated on recruiting yet. I am going to take my time and look everything over and take my visits. I would like to take an unofficial visit to Missouri and other schools over summertime beginning after school if I have time to and can."
Pruitt, who said he wants to major in business, self reported lift maxes of 375lbs in the bench press and 455lbs in the squat. He is an athletic big man who has played high school and AAU basketball for the past three year, and told me some schools had shown interest in him in that sport.
We'll have more on Jovan Pruitt's recruitment as it warrants.
