Latest Missouri RB Offer Lists Tigers Top 2

The Missouri Tigers continued their offer offensive last week during the spring evaluation period, with an offer to a very talented running back prospect, who spoke with about it and his like of the Tigers.

Last week, the Missouri Tigers extended a scholarship offer to 2014 RB prospect Trevon Walters 5’11” 194 Bradenton (FL) Manatee. Over the weekend, Walters spoke with, when he told us about his Missouri offer, and he updated us on the current status of his recruitment.

“Missouri’s one of my top schools right now,” said Walters. “I like Missouri. It’s my first offer from an SEC school. I like their offense.”

Walters reports offers from Georgia Southern, Marshall, Minnesota, Toledo, and USF, in addition to Missouri. He said that Boise State, Iowa State, and Louisville are schools that may be close to offering.

Walters reports a personal best of 4.44 seconds in the forty-yard dash, to go along with a 37” vertical, a 4.34 shuttle, 305-pound max in the bench press, and 16 reps in the bench press at 225 pounds.

Walters plays in a spread offense at Manatee. Last season, he had 4 receiving TDs. He also handles return duties for Manatee.

“My dream is always to go to the SEC,” explained Walters. “Missouri’s my first SEC offer, so that’s big to me.”

Walters plans to study business in college. He named South Florida and Missouri as his top schools.

“As of right now, my top two schools are USF and Missouri,” said Walters.

He’s already been to USF, for the Bulls’ junior day. He’s planning to attend some camps, and take some other unofficial visits this summer. He wants to visit Missouri. But, he’s “not sure” when he will visit Missouri.

“If I don’t visit Missouri during the summer, then they’ll probably, most likely, be where I’ll take an official visit,” said Walters.

With the Missouri offer and the possibility of more new offers, Walters is reconsidering his previous timetable for a preseason decision. Now, he may wait until after the season.

“I’m not sure,” said Walters regarding his current timetable
