Izzo Discusses Missouri Offer And Visit Plans

It was announced on ShowMeMizzou.com last week when New Jersey TE Ryan Izzo received his offer from the Missouri Tigers. We have his latest thoughts after having a few days to think about it, along with his visit plans.

Last week, Missouri extended an offer to 2014 TE prospect Ryan Izzo  6’6”  220  Sparta (NJ) Pope John XXIII.   Afterwards, Izzo spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about his Missouri offer, and he updated us on his recruitment.

“Coach Steckel came to our school,”    said Izzo.   “My high school coach said that he’s been talking to Coach Steckel for a while.   When he told me that Missouri had offered, I was definitely excited!   Missouri is my first SEC offer, so it’s a big one.”

Izzo currently holds offers from Boston College, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Northern Illinois, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, South Florida, Syracuse, Temple, Tulane, UMass, and Virginia Tech, in addition to Missouri.   He’s also hearing from Florida, Maryland, and Ohio State, among others.

“I don’t really have a list of top schools or anything,”   explained Izzo.   “But that’s something that I’m planning to do pretty soon.”

He’s also planning to take some unofficial visits this summer, including a visit to Missouri, probably in June.

Izzo said that he would like to make a decision prior to his senior season.   But if not, then it would be after the season.   He went on to say that Missouri is a school that he will strongly consider.
