Missouri Finds QB Target Worthy Of Offering

The Missouri Tigers have spent their spring evaluation period and early June searching for a Quarterback target they like to extend an offer to, and ShowMeMizzou.com has been on top of it, including the scoop on one they have finally offered.

On Wednesday, 2014 QB prospect Marvin Zanders 6’2” 182 Jacksonville (FL) Raines told ShowMeMizzou.com that he had just received his long-awaited offer from Missouri.

“I talked with Coach Henson,” said Zanders, after he received word of his Missouri offer earlier on Wednesday. “I’ve been waiting on that (offer)!”

“Coach Henson said that he and Coach Pinkel watched my film again,” explained Zanders. “They decided to go ahead and (offer me).”

Zanders holds offers from Duke, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Kentucky, Navy, Ohio, Wake Forest, Western Kentucky, and Western Michigan, in addition to Missouri. All but Kentucky have offered Zanders as a QB. Auburn and Florida State are showing interest.

Zanders named a top five of Auburn, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Missouri.

“I like the (Missouri offer),” said Zanders. “I’m going to talk to my parents about it, because I really feel good about that one, just with the relationship that I have with the coaches, and with their offense. Missouri is number one right now on my board.”

Zanders has spent his summer working out with his team and going to camps. He’s been timed in the 4.4s in the forty.

Zanders is planning to visit Missouri with his family in late-July. He said that he would like to make a decision shortly thereafter.
