DL Offer Hopes To Visit Missouri This Month

ShowMeMizzou.com has the very latest with a three star defensive line prospect and Missouri Tigers 2014 offer, who talks about his overall recruitment, including his hopes of making an unofficial visit to Missouri in the month of July.

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2014 DE prospect Chris Slayton 6’4” 260 Crete (IL) Crete-Monee, who holds a Missouri offer, and who would like to take an unofficial visit to Missouri in the near future. Slayton talks about his Missouri interest, and he updates us on his recruitment.

“Missouri has a really good football program,” said Slayton. “I’m really a fan of (Missouri). I’d like to come down there for a visit sometime soon.”

Slayton said that he doesn’t know when he’ll visit Missouri.

“I’m going to try to visit Missouri soon,” explained Slayton.

Slayton report offers from Ball State, Illinois, Indiana, Miami, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Syracuse, Toledo, and Wisconsin, in addition to Missouri.

Slayton cited one of the reasons for his interest in Missouri.

“One of my favorite players, Aldon Smith, went to Missouri,” explained the former Chicago-area basketball player.

Slayton reported personal bests of 4.67 seconds in the forty-yard dash, a 30” vertical jump, and a maximum in the bench press of 305 pounds.

He identified the quality of the football program and his relationship with the coaches as primary factors that will influence his decision.

Slayton, who recently visited Michigan State, said that he doesn’t have any favorites at this point in his recruitment. He expects to make a final decision following his senior season.
