Missouri To Get Visit From LaChance

The Missouri Tigers basketball program recently offered talented 2014 combo guard Riley LaChance from Brookfield (WI) Central. He spoke to ShowMeMizzou.com about the offer, and shared his thoughts on the Tigers program and where his recruitment is at.

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2014 combo guard Riley LaChance  6’2”  175  Brookfield (WI) Central, who reports having recently received a Missouri offer, and who is planning to visit Missouri in the not too distant future.

“I would say that I’ve gotten to know the Missouri coaches pretty well,”   said LaChance.   “They’ve got a good thing going there at Missouri.   The program is going in the right direction.  And, they have a very well-respected and highly-regarded coaching staff.”

LaChance also plays for the Ray Allen Select AAU team.   He is a very skilled offensive player who is a better defender than his overall athleticism would suggest.

“One of my strengths would be my mid-range game that I’ve developed,”   explained LaChance.   “Missouri likes my versatility and my ability to score and to shoot the basketball.”

He reports offers from California-Davis, Davidson, Drake, Green Bay-Wisconsin, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Western Michigan, and Yale, in addition to Missouri.

Several other schools have been showing interest, including Minnesota, Northwestern, Santa Clara, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Xavier.

LaChance has yet to visit Missouri, but he intends to do so late this summer or early this fall.

He’s not sure whether he’ll sign in November, or wait until the spring.   He said that distance from home won’t really be a factor in his decision.
