Mott Gives Missouri Update has an update on one of the offensive line prospects the Missouri Tigers offered back in May, and finds out what the latest is with him and the Tigers, along with his overall recruiting status. spoke with 2014 OT prospect D.J. Mott 6’6” 270 Nashville (TN) Montgomery Bell Academy about the current status of his recruitment.

Two-and-a-half months ago, reported that Mott came away from an unofficial visit to Missouri with an offer from the Tigers. Since then, Mott has been in frequent contact with Missouri assistant Josh Henson.

“I’ve been talking to (Coach Henson) a bunch,” said Mott. “I might visit (Missouri) again……………………………………. I definitely like Missouri.”

Mott currently holds offers from Brown, Cornell, Georgia State, Harvard, Middle Tennessee, Penn, Princeton, Tennessee-Martin, Southern Illinois, UAB, UT-Chattanooga, and Western Kentucky, in addition to Missouri. He’s also receiving recruiting interest from Illinois, Nebraska, Purdue, and Washington, among others.

Mott said that Missouri is “definitely one of (his) top schools”. He cited his relationship with Coach Henson and the fact that Missouri is in the SEC as positives regarding Missouri. He said that he intends to revisit Missouri, but he does not yet have a date scheduled.

Mott said that he’s “not sure” regarding a timetable for a decision.

“I’m just considering my options,” explained Mott.
